Take the time to visit Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge during your stay on the Alabama Gulf Coast. It is truly a special place - a place where the scenery is filled with sand dunes, scrub forest, marshes, swamps and simply gorgeous beaches.
Created by Congress 1980, the refuge provides protection to 7,000 acres of important wildlife habitat. It is home to hundreds of species of migratory birds, as well as nesting sea turtles and the Alabama beach mouse.
You can enjoy more than six miles of hiking trails and beach access. Open from sunrise to sunset. 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
